Franklin, TN (PRWEB) April 29, 2006
The NGLCC announces Diversity Builder, Inc. as the first diversity training corporation to receive its supplier diversity certification. The NGLCC (National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce) is the exclusive certifying body for LGBT-owned (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) businesses and entrepreneurs.
Diversity Builder President Stanton stated, "The Diversity Builder staff has worked diligently to complete all certification requirements and was anxiously awaiting the announcement. To be the first training company to be certified by the NGLCC is an absolute honor. The supplier diversity certification will enable us to offer diversity training, website design, and Internet business marketing strategies to our new Fortune 500 and federal government partners."
The NGLCC certification has gained extensive acceptance by Fortune 100 companies since the program's inception in 2003. Participating Fortune 100 companies include IBM, JPMorgan Chase, Motorola, Intel, and American Express. In June of 2005, the Department of the Interior (DOI) became the first federal agency to agree to honor the NGLCC's certification, enabling LGBT businesses to bid on more than $4 billion dollars in contracts the DOI awards each year.
